Interdisciplinary by design
Knowledge from health science, psychology, philosophy and culture is integrated from the start — not bolted together as an afterthought.
Disciplina libertas amor
The School of Integrated Life Sciences brings together
physical health, psychology, leadership and culture in one
interdisciplinary learning environment for curious adults.
Our mission
Traditional academic institutions divide knowledge into disciplines. We believe the most important questions about how to live, lead and relate cannot be contained in a single department.
SILS was founded to create a rigorous, intellectually honest space where the sciences of body and mind, the art of relationship and the practice of thoughtful living are explored together.

“Why do intelligent people keep
repeating patterns they understand?”
Why SILS
We are building something that does not yet have a name. Not a university. Not a wellness retreat. Not a coaching programme. Something more rigorous and more human than all three.
Knowledge from health science, psychology, philosophy and culture is integrated from the start — not bolted together as an afterthought.
All programmes are led by active researchers, clinicians and practitioners. No generalists. No keynote speakers with no depth.
Lectures, dinners and retreats are kept small deliberately. The quality of conversation matters as much as the content.
We hold intellectual honesty as a core value. Claims are examined, not just asserted. Critical thinking is practised, not just taught.
SILS is designed as a learning community — relationships formed here are as valuable as the knowledge gained.
Our programmes are structured around how busy professionals actually live — intensive, high-quality, and worth travelling for.

“What does the body know before the
mind does?”
Curriculum
Medicine, psychology, movement, nutrition, nature and relationships are not six
separate subjects here. They are six angles on a single question: what does it
take to live well?
Evidence-based clinical knowledge translated for the non-clinician — how the body actually works, what breaks it, and what restores it.
From attachment theory to cognitive neuroscience. The science of how you think, feel, and repeat patterns you never consciously chose.
Physical training treated as psychological work. What the body holds, how it learns, and why competence in one room does not transfer to the next.
Not a diet. A working model of how what you eat changes what you think, how you sleep, and how long you stay able to do any of this.
The original context for human development, removed from most modern lives. Retreats, seasonal programming, and practices that return you to it.
The science and practice of freedom with — remaining a separate person inside real contact, able to want, be disappointed, and keep your footing.
